Losing Post Pregnancy Weight
I am aware that for some people, the issue of weight loss after pregnancy is a big one. I hope to help in the resolution of this problem by providing useful and updated information for you to consider on this important point.
Losing Weight After Your Pregnancy is a very possible aim. and even if you have not succeeded before on a previous pregnancy, you still are in with a chance when you follow some basic rules/ suggestions that have worked for other Moms.
The initial requirement is to recognize that you will have put on weight gradually, over the course of your pregnancy, as is natural, and also may have had the odd craving or two for interesting meal combinations at all hours of the night and day!
Given this point, you can expect it will take a few months to return to normal, and that is fine. In fact, it would be unhealthy to lose all your weight in the space of two weeks. I am not sure if it is possible, but my point is that you need to look after yourself, for your sake and that of your baby.
Methods to Lose Weight Safely
One of the recommended methods is to breast feed if you can. I know that for a small percentage of women, this can be problematic, but doing so will help you to reduce around 30% of your initial weight gain, due tot he hormones and use of your milk.
That still leaves room for some extra activity and the good news is you do not need to become a gym junkie, not that you wold have the time for it anyway! It is OK to just go for regular strolls/ walks with your baby, which are great for Bub as well as for your health and weight loss. Just a half hour walk, that is a little brisk, will make a massive difference, if done three or four times a week.
In addition, the requirement is to make sure that you are eating as well as you can, and no more have you the excuse for eating for two. Seriously, it is important to eat as healthy as you can, in the form of fresh vegies, nuts, yoghurts and so on. A Good piece of meat is great too, but you need to make sure that you are eating energy rich food with lower calories and are balancing your needs to remain active, energetic, whilst limiting the sugary, rubbish types.
I explain this in greater detail on my pregnancy weight loss site here.
